WORKSHOP OPPORTUNITY - SAVE THE DATE! The club will be sponsoring a Boxwood workshop at Cass Bonsai Gardens on Saturday, October 3rd. ALL ARE WELCOME. Chris J. will lead the workshop. Cost will be $60 and will include a tree and the necessary wire; please bring your own tools, or you can buy some from Cass on the day. Brian from Cass will bring an example or two of the workshop trees to forthcoming meetings. Boxwoods are wonderful bonsai specimens and are drastically underutilized, in my opinion. Chris will help you to give your tree your first styling, and Chris can pass along some of the techniques he has used to reduce leaf size significantly over time, too. So, come on out, get a good start on a nice tree, spend some time with us, and support your local club.
